The Wi-Fi Dongle can be upgraded in two ways, via a wired connection to a PC or wirelessly using the Dongle. Both methods are described below.
Upgrades are available from the website powerchair-manager.com/upgrades.
NOTE (HP)
A Wi-Fi update can be carried out when connected to a controller or another power source such as a high-powered USB hub.
The file was created with a higher access-level programmer, so settings will not be visible.
You will still be able to write the file to the control system.
Check the control system is switched on.
Ensure the latest software has been transferred to the Wi-Fi Dongle's File Management area and then click on the 'Exit' icon.
The red and blue LEDs should begin to flash rapidly.
If they do not, disconnect and then reconnect the Wi-Fi Dongle, then repeat the update process.
If you continue to experience problems updating the software, contact Curtiss-Wright for advice.
Ensure the Wi-Fi Dongle is connected to the control system and the control system is switched-on. Ensure no other programming dongle is connected.
The red LED should be lit and the blue LED should be flashing.
If the blue LED is permanently lit, check the Wi-Fi Dongle is not connected to another device. If it is, remove the connection to that device and try again.
If the blue LED is not lit, unplug the Wi-Fi Dongle and try reconnecting.
If the blue LED remains unlit, contact Curtiss-Wright for advice.
If another programming device is connected to the control system, or the control system is in OBP Mode, then the Wi-Fi Dongle will not communicate with it. Remove any other programming device, and ensure the control system is not in OBP Mode.
If the Wi-Fi Dongle still does not communicate with the control system, contact Curtiss-Wright for advice.
Check the connection to your control system.
If the red LED remains unlit, contact Curtiss-Wright for advice.
